Uniting NGOs in Africa

Amplifying advocacy voices

Building capacity

AFRICA CHAPTER

The Africa Chapter of the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety was launched in November 2018 as a means of uniting road safety NGOs in Africa more closely, harnessing their joint experience, building their capacity and amplifying their advocacy voices with their governments.

There is an urgent need to grow the NGO movement in Africa. This will help to raise their collective voice about the problem of road safety in Africa and advocate for sustainable solutions while strengthening their capacity to deliver evidence-based programs, road safety management, financing, and research.

The Africa Chapter has 95 NGOs across 32 countries and the Alliance equips, mobilizes, and connects these NGOs to step up action in the continent.
